Endodontics

Endodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry that treats dental pulp and tissues surrounding the roots of a tooth.

Preventive dentistry is the best way to keep your teeth and oral cavity healthy. The main causes of tooth loss are caries and periodontitis. The more you learn to deal with these two problems, the more chances are for you to keep your teeth for a lifetime.

People who no longer have their own teeth also benefit from preventive dentistry, because conditions such as oral carcinomas and stomatitis caused by inadequate prostheses can be spotted on a regular dental examination and be further treated at an early stage.

Preventive dental examination involves checking the condition of your teeth and bone ridge (gums). If necessary, plaque removal and teeth polishing is done. After that, the patient is given advice about best techniques for brushing teeth and how to clean the interdental spaces. All the seals in patient’s mouth are examined to determine their condition, whether there are sharp edges or transitions that make cleaning difficult which allows plaque deposition.

It is very important to properly inform children, as they need to acquire the correct habits in terms of maintaining hygiene of both primary and permanent teeth. Those proper habits that children gain will help them have healthy teeth all their lives.

FISSURE SEALANT PROCEDURE - The first intervention that is completely painless and acceptable for children, and very important when it comes to prevention is fissure sealant procedure. The surface of the lateral teeth is full of deep pits and grooves that are hard to clean, allowing plaque to get trapped and create cavities. Fissure sealants provide a smooth surface that is easily accessible when cleaning our teeth. This procedure can be done on both primary and permanent teeth in order to prevent or stop the dental caries process.

All-ceramic (Zirconium) crowns and bridgesgive the teeth the appearance and transparency so that it is hard to spot the difference with natural teeth. The basis of these prosthetic compensations is the alumina-oxide, or zirconium oxide, which is covered by a special type of ceramic. Such a computer-supported production process provides exceptional precision and aesthetics to prosthetic work.

Porcelain facets are laboratory-made thin porcelain flakes that are cemented on the front side of the tooth to improve dental aesthetics. They are made in cases where existing teeth have changed color, damaged or in cases where teeth are incorrectly placed.

Teeth whitening – a very popular conservative technique for beautifying a smile that removes stains, discoloration and also achieves a brighter tooth color for 2-3 shades. This procedure can be done in less than an hour, without anesthesia and with no damaging effects on teeth, after just one visit to the office.

Dental implants are the most natural way of replacing lost teeth. After installing implants excellent results are achieved since the implant replicates the use and function of a natural tooth. The dental implant is incorporated into the bone in a place where the root of the tooth would naturally take place, and it assumes the role of the tooth (root) carrier.

The intervention is performed in local anesthesia therefore it is completely painless.

Implants can be installed in cases where one or more teeth in the upper or the lower jaw are missing.

When the implant stabilizes and grows into the bone, usually after 3 to 4 months, prosthetic care can begin.

The use of mobile prostheses is indicated for patients with complete or partial edentulous where the number of implants that can be implanted may vary. If standard dimension dental implants are installed, the number of implants for the upper jaw is 4 and for the lower jaw is 2 implants.

Special systems provide a link between implants and mobile prosthetic restoration. Larger number of implants can be installed in cases where anatomical structures and other factors allow it offering a solution in fixed prosthodontics.

If anatomical structures do not allow dental implants of standard dimensions to be fitted, then the so-called " mini” implants are being installed. When using these “mini” implants, it is necessary to install 6 mini implants in the upper jaw, while the lower jaw requires 4 mini implants.

Oral surgery is the branch of dentistry that deals with soft and hard tissue diseases of the oral region, which cannot be resolved with conservative treatment.

Our team will perform surgery efficiently and responsibly, ensuring that that the patient has fast, painless treatment without complications.

Indications for surgery could be problems with eruption of wisdom teeth, cysts or tooth abscess. The procedure is sometimes indicated as pre-prosthetic mouth preparation for optimal position of the prosthesis or as shortening the attachment of the labial and lingual frenulum.

Parodontopathy is the most common cause of tooth loss. Early detection of disease and timely therapy is of utmost imporparotance for a good and predictable therapeutic outcome. When threating Parodontopathy, It is usually necessary to perform several conservative treatments, remove concrements from the supragingival and subgingival regions, and finally instruct the patient about further regular hygiene and arrange for periodic visits.

Surgical treatment is undertaken when the disease is diagnosed in an advanced phase, with bone defects and receding gums that form “pockets”, decay of the bone ridge and teeth mobility.

Symptoms and consequences of periodontal disease are the accumulation of dental plaque, inflammation of the gingiva (gums enlarged, red, swollen), the feeling of a foreign body between teeth, the gingival bleeding, receding gums, bone resorption, gingival pockets, bad breath, tooth migration, tooth decay and, in the end, tooth loss.
